Gajac, situated on Pag Island in Novalja's vicinity, is a master-planned vacation settlement. It was built up during the 1980s with its streets and squares consisting of apartment buildings, service units and full infrastructure.
Gajac beach stretching several hundred meters on the Adriatic coast is mainly gravel with the coastal strip partly filled with sand. The beach is so spacious that even during the high season with the high number of guests the beach doesn't feel like overcrowded. Along the beach vacationers can enjoy some food and drinks in the bars or do some sports on the basketball and volleyball field and bowling tracks, ping-pong, snooker, table football are also at the guests' disposal. Beachware can be bought right on the beach, where one can enjoy the massage service or can rent a paddle boat.

Gajac is fully equipped with service providers. The Novalja Tourist Board runs an office right in the center, next to the Blue Tower (Plavi toranj), with internet connected computers for guests, on or near the main square we can find grocery store, bakery, cafe, confectionery, beachware shop, post office and drugstore. The promenade leading to the beach offers several restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as Zagrebačka Banka's ATM machine.

One can find entertainment without the need to travel, locally, as during the season the beach bars provide live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The neighboring Novalja offers a high profile night life and Croatia's most celebrated music club on Zrće Beach is only 2 km-s away from Gajac. Several guests choose Gajac accommodation right because of the easy access to Zrće.
